I suppose youre going to ask me if I li ke pasta next. The use of sarcasm by Josie, clearly demonstrates the wittiness in the novel by dismissing her fathers question as the answer should be obvious. This sets the foundation for the father-daughter relationship to develop. 2. Characterisation In the novel the characters personalities atomic number 18 reflected through the use of stereotypes.
